New Rules for Refrigeration Systems Royal Decree 138/2011
Already in force by Royal Decree 138/2011, of February 4, by approving the Safety Regulations for refrigeration and technical instructions that come to abolish, among others, the Royal Decree 3099/1977 regulating Security for Plant and Refrigeration.
The new regulation for refrigeration RD 138/2011 sets out the conditions to be met by refrigeration to ensure safety of persons and property, and protecting the environment. The Royal Decree narrows further the scope of regulation, adapting existing regulations to technical progress and the regulations and rights of the European Union.
Regulation of refrigeration and its Complementary Technical Instructions, affect, among other fixed facilities, cold storage, ice plants and plants from freezing or cooling of various products.
Fall outside the scope of the regulations, the facilities that have a specific regulation, such as refrigerators air transport, the building air-conditioning and refrigeration systems compact.
This new Royal Decree is composed of a single article, which approves the Safety Regulations for instruction rooms, and nineteen complementary technical instructions to regulate aspects of refrigeration systems and the classification of refrigerants, refrigeration systems, design and construction and insulation materials, testing, testing, and inspection prior to commissioning or professionals and companies authorized to carry out this activity.
